Our mission: Removing barriers, enabling participation, enhancing lives through our rugby values.
What is it?
Unified Rugby for people keen to play rugby in a safe an accepting social environment. It is suitable from ages 15 up to retired players.
Who is it for?
People with intellectual impairments; learners of the game; veterans of the game and anybody in between! Players who are keen to enable and just have a run around.
Why do we do it?
To know the true spirit of rugby and its culture. To play rugby, learn skills, be active and make friends.
How do we do it?
With the help of coaches and players assisted by some expert support. We play a slightly modified version of Rugby Union to allow our players to learn the skills of rugby as well as being apart of a wider community and culture. Using red scrum caps to identify our players that are unable to deal with full contact.
Supported by the Christchurch Football Club, the Canterbury Rugby Union, Trust Rugby International and World Rugby.
